Vanessa Savić
Human Medicine Student
I commenced my medical studies at Philipps-University in Marburg in 2018. Throughout my academic journey, I delved into the study of the human psyche and its associated disorders, leading to a deep appreciation for the profound importance of mental balance and health. Consequently, in 2023, I made the decision to join Professor Jamalabadi's research group to embark on my doctoral thesis. Through this research in the field of psychiatry, my goal is to gain valuable insights that may potentially benefit individuals struggling with mental health challenges.
In my doctoral thesis, alongside my fellow student Lilly Kresinszky, I am concentrating on the examination of rumination and mind wandering and their correlation with Major Depressive Disorder, particularly its development. Our objective is to potentially discover an early diagnostic approach for the illness, aiming to detect it in its early stages and, ideally, to intervene before its onset.
